Wisdom?

Well, for the first time ever I've deleted a post. That seems almost heretical to do such a thing, but people far wiser than I thought it unwise to post what I did. Because I have a lack of perspective, I thought it best to trust those who can are distanced from the situation and can see much more clearly than I.

How can I know if what has happened or is happening is good or not? If the outcome is favorable in my sight, is that really good or bad? Things are not always what they seem. An apparent blessing could actually lead to a curse, and a curse could lead to a blessing. How do I know if these things are good or not???

Perhaps in seeking God first and seeking His will I will know.

I can give you some wisdom about it being a blessing or a curse... but you gotta tell me what happend first :)

I am well versed in "Misery" and can point out a curse from a mile away.

Just know this, God says... "I am the Lord; those who hope in Me will not be disappointed."

Well, I'd tell ya but that would kind of defeat the purpose of deleting what I posted. I'll catch up with you Sunday. BTW - How are you feeling?

My friend... I am feeling much, much better. I had some of the worst pain I have ever experienced but the surgery has taken care of that. I'm looking forward to jumping back in...

Hi David!
Yes, it's really me...belive it or not! Here's a thought for you...
I don't know what the issue is that's plaguing you, but please understand that most Christians experience the same feelings of self-doubt, etc...at some point. I don't believe that this is sin, but part of growth. I think the way to not doubt your instincts is to step back, and look at all the side issues that are rolling out in all directions from the main issue. As you spend time inventorying and considering each possible outcome, God will give you peace when you hit the right one! Your heart is straight on for God...do you think He'll take His eyes off you for even a moment?
There is an OT verse somewhere that says (my paraphrase) "For I know the plans I have for you", says the Lord, "plans for good, and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
Love you lots, Aunt Kathy
